Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Co-hosted by Michael Meyers, - Managing Director of Tag1 Consulting, and Janez Urevc, Sr. Engineer at Tag 1. This podcast series focuses on the strategies involved in upgrading and migrating Drupal websites and applications.

This episode features insights from the hosts and Drupal expert Lucas Hedding. The discussion centers on the importance of planning and estimating the scope of a migration and the different approaches one can take, such as a "lift and shift" or a complete rebuild.

The "lift and shift" approach aims to move the existing system to a new platform with minimal changes. This method is often quicker but may not resolve existing issues or bugs. On the other hand, a "rebuild" involves starting from scratch, allowing for significant changes and improvements. However, it requires more time for planning and execution. Both approaches have pros and cons, and the choice often depends on various factors like time constraints, business needs, and the complexity of the existing system.

Jump into the episode to learn more about these incremental approaches and the common challenges that full redesign might entail.
